Magnitude 8.3 Earthquake in Chile, XCMG Dispatched Equipment for Emergency Rescue

On September 16, local time in Chile, a magnitude 8.3 earthquake and subsequent tsunami happened at the western coastal. The earthquake caused serious damages. Buildings and houses collapsed, which was devastated, and millions of people were evacuated in emergency.


XCMG Branch Company in Chile immediately contacted the local government and relevant rescuing organization of earthquake disaster area asking the rescuing needs and expressed the willing to help and make contribution for the earthquake relief work. Then, the branch company instantly called up four equipment, including cranes, loaders and excavators, to the disaster area carrying out the rescue operation, which included assistance of ships and vehicles refloating at port and cleaning of roads blocked by rocks and stones etc. 

So far, the rescue operation has been finished and the earthquake victims have been arranged properly. Now, XCMG is taking an active part in the post-disaster reconstruction.
