XCMG 1000t Crawler Crane Makes Inroads into Large-scale Wind Power Installation Sector

August 26, 2013
Recently, XCMG’s XGC16000 was transported into Zhangjiakou Wind Farm of Hebei Province for 5MW wind power installation, and XGC16000 is viewed as the largest wind turbine for installation in the industry over the past two years. At present, terrestrial 5MW wind power is being tested, and XGC16000 wind turbine is one of few samples in home market, which fully exemplifies the customer’s ample faith in XCMG products.

XGC16000 adopts the super lift tower boom operating mode in which the main boom is 78 meters long and the tower boom is 42 meters, with super lifting counterweight of 180t and radius of counterweight hitting 24 meters. Despite the high load rate (up to 90%), XGC16000 can change amplitude, turn around, and travel so as to install appropriately the cabin accurately and at high efficient. Successful installation of the 5MW wind power marks that XCMG’s 1000t crawler crane has successfully made inroads into the large-scale wind power installation sector in the wake of its successful entry into petrochemical, coal chemical, ocean engineering, and large-scale stadium construction fields. That will further broaden XCMG’s 1000t product construction range and play a significant role to the company’s market expansion.
