XCMG’s cranes of the same category exhibiting excellent performance in Yantai

On April 10, XCMG’s QUY650 and QUY260 under the same category of crawler crane were simultaneously used in the construction at Wanhua Industrial Park in Yantai, Shandong Province.
On the site, QUY 650-ton crawler crane was used as main crane while QUY 260-ton crane was designated for tail hoisting. These two cranes deftly drove and rotated on the construction site and exhibited their nimble and excellent performance against blue sky. For this hoisting task, XCMG’s QUY650 crawler crane undertook the tough task to complete hoisting operation of 11C1004 thermal regeneration tower tank that is 35m in net height, 5m in radius and 105t in net weight. The whole installation process lasted less than an hour.
It was learnt that this hoisting task had many formidable difficulties, including high equipment with wide radius and heavy weight, great load rate, small safety distance and strong sea wind, etc. Site Chief Engineer of Sinopec No.10 Construction Co., Ltd. Mr. Ye said, “XCMG’s high-performing products indeed greatly improved our work efficiency. They really helped us to save time by removing the equipment spatially. This successful hoisting task not only brought more benefits to us, but also provided satisfactory results for the project owner.”
