Shantui Tests Road Machinery in Tibet

December 28, 2012

Over two weeks from December 5 to December 21, Shantui conducted stress testing on several pieces of road machinery in a high-altitude region in Tibet. The tests were administered by the Road Machinery Institute and Assembly Workshop, a panel of Shantui engineers and machinery experts, to determine the operational capabilities of the SRP95M paver, SR14D tandem roller, and SR30T under extreme conditions. Conducted in Nam Co National Park and Shigatse City, the machines were subjected to extreme cold, high altitudes, steep inclines, and atmospheric hypoxia (thinair). After 20 kilometers and 260 hours of continuous operation, the machines exhibited no faults.
